Substantial Equivalency Assessment System (SEAS)

Welcome to the Substantial Equivalency Assessment System (SEAS).

If you completed your occupational therapy education outside of Canada (including Canadians) and want to work in Canada as an occupational therapist, you must first complete the SEAS program. SEAS will determine if your education and competencies are substantially equivalent to an entry to practice Canadian educated occupational therapist.

Internationally educated occupational therapists who successfully complete SEAS are eligible to apply for registration with a Canadian provincial regulator.
